It just keeps falling and falling and falling. Every few days I gaze out my window and think, "Now this must surely be the end of winter." But by 4pm the ground and my jacket are again covered by white, fluffy, cottony snow.
And people seem to be taking it quite well. There's been no real complaining (!) about the persistent winter. Just a shrug of the shoulders and an "oh well."
This will be a great spring, I hope. It's been a long winter.

I saw a long range forcast that said that the summer is going to be crap. I don't usually believe long range forcasts but I remember last summer they were saying that it was going to be a long, cold winter.
Oh, dear.
We plan to be in Zokopane in late April/early May so are hoping for a glorious and premature spring. Hiking the mountains and sidewalk cafes; enjoying temperate weather and outdoor diversions. Will the weather cooperate?
In my experience it snows in Poland more or less through March - I remember a couple instances of snow in April. Perhaps that's why people are taking it so well. They're used to it.
But there's more and more sun every day. Spring is definitely around the corner (that corner being 3 or 4 weeks long, mind you).
I heard when summer comes it's going to be really hot. We obviously listen to different weather forecasts beatroot!
The birds have started waking me up in the morning again; there's definitely a hint (tiny, miniscule hint) of spring in the air already.

What word did you have trouble spelling? If you spelt beatroot as beetroot then, yes, I am pleased you deleted.
But it's true - we are all doomed - forever. It's only a matter of time...
and if this is what they call global warming then I am going outside, right now, to break up some fridges...
